Signor A. de R. Lysle,

My dear Sir,

Having used some hundreds of Manuals to teach pupils, I had long given them up in despair as hopeless waste of time, and I had to compose with the aid of my different native professors, and largely helped by prof. John Blakeslee M. A. a celebrated American Sanskrit and Hebrew scholar, separate typed sheets for each tongue as we proceeded. You will well estimate the trouble and time this took where over a dozen languages were in use.

Early last fall an Italian student learning English from me, showed me your «Unico metodo accelerato» to learn English in three months, and it did not take me long to see I had at last found what I had long sought in vain. I sent to the printers for copies and I have over 20 men and 5 ladies now using it daily, althô half are not Italians, nor know Italian, but thrô Latin, Spanish, French, etc., they can follow, with a minimum of trouble to myself or staff the meaning and being thus necessitated to «think», they very soon get a fair foundation of the beautiful Italian tongue while learning English. We ali owe you a heavy debt of gratitude and I can but lay this small tribute at the feet of a «maestro». If a copy were sent to Rugby, Eton, Harrow etc. I feel sure you would have prompt acknowledgement.

With every good wish and my fullest mead of praise, I remain, my dear Prof. Yours very gratefully

_____________

Egr. Sig.

vostro sempre grato

J. Harward de Rinzy.
