3. Il Signor Guglielmo Trumbal dopo essere stato Segretario di Stato sotto Guglielmo III. avea dimessa la carica ed erasi ritirato a Windsor sua Padria. Ed a ciò qui si allude. È da notarsi però, che il Franzese non ha scorto, che le voci = are lost = si rapportano allo stesso Signor Trumbal, che con somma energia si dice da Pope, illustramente perduto a tutt’il Mondo. E con tale inavvertenza si scosta dal sentimento dell’Originale, e ne svilisce la sublimità.
